•Preparation and design of drawings for building warrant and planning permission

•Completion of drawings for both alterations and new builds

•Taking instruction from clients from initial contact to submission of applications and drawings

•Assisting with site visits and inspections

•Completion of site surveys

 

I have had the opportunity to work on small independent projects. That range from new builds, to interior layout drawings for clients in my local area. These projects include applying for Planning permission and Building Warrant. This has given me hands-on experience working with the client and the local council to develop the most appropriate design solution. 

 

Academic

2014-Present Architecture MArch (Hons), University of Dundee

 

• Presentation skills and measured hand drawing skills.

• Knowledge of sustainable design strategies.

• Development design through the uses of hand sketching, and 3D modeling physical/computer aided.

• Working with a client on a potential live project

 

Within university, I have also worked on a project for a client which was a fringe project for the Festival of Architecture, Space for practice project.

 

2012-2014:  Architectural Technology (HND), Forth Valley College Stirling

 

• Fully qualified to prepare planning application, building warrant, and detailed drawings along with basic service and structural strategy drawings.

• Experience in site/building surveying, and cost studies.

• Experience in calculating U-Values.

• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, Fire Safety in buildings and CDM regulations.

• Experience in preparing Specifications and knowledge of British building regulations.
